NEW SONG: “Snowblind”
About two years ago, in the early days of this whole project we had a snow day. I had the day off and terrible tires on my car so, stuck in the house, so I decided to initiate a One-Day Super Challenge™: write, record, and totally finish producing a new song, start to finish, and release it, all in the same day.
I got writer’s block and failed miserably. I did however keep at it over the next few weeks after that and nearly finished it before leaving it alone for a long long time until recently. I played it at like two shows this past summer and have been putting the finishing touches on it (new vocals, finishing the mix, etc.) the last few weeks.
The original goal was to put this out next time there was a snow day in Raleigh, but since it’s Raleigh and half the time it’s like 60 degrees in the middle of the fucking winter, I figured posting it as a Christmas gift would be the next best thing.
So here it is! Hope you dig it. (Try and remember to play it if it DOES snow where you live.)
This has been an AWESOME year for me musically, what with releasing an album and then a remix EP and playing a ton of shows and gaining a little momentum and getting CDs printed and all that. Thank you guys SO MUCH for your awesome support. :)

GOOD LUCK: Physical Copies Shipping 11/19; Pre-Order is Yes

FINALLY. After months and months, physical copies of my album Good Luck will begin shipping November 19.
If you’ve been keeping up (sup, local fam?) you’ll know this was supposed to happen back in March shortly after the digital release. Since I’m not big-time enough for an explanation to be required of me, and since a truthful one would necessitate me doing a little shit-talking (well-deserved, but I’d like to stay classy) the short version is this: I was promised a run of CD’s and told they were on their way in the mail every day for nearly two months before discovering that no order had ever even been placed. That party is out of the picture and I am the boss of this op, so no uncertainty this time.
As per the original plan, the CD’s will be in cardboard digipack cases, with the same package design Jonathan Williams completed this spring - I can’t wait for everyone to see the entire other half of his artwork.
They cost $10 + shipping, which also gets you an immediate digital download (if you don’t have one yet) to tide you over until this beauty lands in your mailbox. There will also be an option at checkout to have your copy signed for no extra charge. You can pre-order now, on the same page where the digital download lives at goodluck.animalweapon.com.
This first printing will be a very small one and very nearly all profits will go toward another printing once I start running low (okay, and maybe a bottle or two of Dogfish Head Theobroma. Sue me.) And side-note: Since we’re in economic recovery mode, the album will continue to be available as a free download.
I can’t tell you how excited I am about this; I can’t wait to hold this thing in my hands and get one into yours (rrrraaarrrrrr.) Thanks as always for the support!

NEW REMIX EP: Giant Robot Apocalypse

At long last some talented friends and I are proud to present to you our Giant Robot Apocalypse EP.
The 7-track release includes five vastly different and super dope remixes of “Giant Robot Apocalypse” from my good friends AK-87, Oneiric, Frank Kastle, Man of the Downtrodden and Alex Palumbo-Green. The remixes are amazing and I can’t even begin to express how honored I am that they let me talk them into this. Meanwhile, the great Jonathan Williams has once again made me shit my pants with his amazing artwork, which as per usual will also be included in the download as wallpapers.
I’m treating this as a souped-up new “single” - if anyone reading this is involved with college radio and can get it on the air where you live, I’ve included a “clean edit” (the word “shit” is excised) and you would be the best person ever.
These guys worked their asses off to make this project happen. I hope you enjoy it!
Track List:
- Giant Robot Apocalypse (Original Version)
- Giant Robot Apocalypse (AK-87 Remix)
- Giant Robot Apocalypse (Man of the Downtrodden Remix)
- Giant Robot Apocalypse (Oneiric Remix)
- Giant Robot Apocalypse (Alex Palumbo-Green Remix)
- Giant Robot Apocalypse (Frank Kastle Remix)
- Giant Robot Apocalypse (Clean)

NEW: Ellie Goulding - Lights (Animalweapon Remix)
I got into this song last summer and listened to it probably way too often. Sometime last fall I came up with the idea to do a crazy, long, epic, ambient, downtempo remix of it but between the album, shows, and laziness and fatigue I never finished it until this past spring when I did in the studio for a class project. Big up to my good friend Tyler “Flempton” Hendley for contributing live bass and my teacher for putting up with this as my project and also for lending me a way better acoustic guitar.
To the best of my knowledge there aren’t any remixes of this song that sound like this by a long shot. It’s certainly not club shit, at any rate. I hope you enjoy it. If you do, PLEASE pimp this one out.
And if you’re seeing this from a re-blog, maybe take a listen to my album and/or find the Facebook page?

GOOD LUCK on iTunes, Amazon & Spotify
For those of you who prefer to buy music from major digital marketplaces instead of through my site, Good Luck is now available on iTunes for $9.90 and Amazon for $8.99.
You can also listen to Good Luck on Spotify.
If you have time, a quick review on either marketplace would go a long way. I apologize for the delay in getting the record out to these places but hey at least it’s available on the site (and will continue to be.)
Thanks for your time and thanks again for all of the awesome support you guys have been giving me since the release of the album. I’m glad you all like it!
